About Us

Stellar Education & Visa Centre was established in Sydney, Australia 25 years ago. Stellar served its first overseas student in May 1994, in a tiny office on Goulburn Street in Sydney’s CBD, with only one staff member, Stellar’s founder, Ms. Joy Thaiposri. The business began at a time where internet and email were not widely available, the main method of business communication were telephone and fax, and the main advertising method was merely ‘words of mouth’.

The main purpose of company was to assist all international students regarding their education in Australia, and to aid them with their visa applications. Stellar also dealt with the clients who wish to migrate, or to gain temporary visas.

Stellar’s mission statement is to provide excellent education and visa services to all international clients in assisting them to achieve their goals in Australia.

Stellar Education & Visa Centre can help with education plan, school placement, finding accommodation, health insurance, airport pickup, translation and all services that students need in Australia.

We offer assistance and consultation regarding all visa issues with registered migration agents who have extensive experience in Australian migration regulations for over 20 years.

25 years on, Stellar Education & Visa Centre is still going strong, equipped with the most highly qualified and experienced team to date, who understand international students’ needs thoroughly and personally, as they were once in that very same position before they studied and graduated in Australia and went on to become counsellors. Students can expect advice and services of the utmost quality here at Stellar. We look forward to serving you, always.

Founder and Management

Ms Joy Thanawan Thaiposri

  • Director of Stellar Education &Visa Centre
  • Justice of Peace (NSW)
  • Registered Migration Agent (MARN 0103611)
  • Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (A001)

Joy is an expert in Australian education and visa, with her long experience in the industry since 1994 as the Director of Stellar Education & Visa Centre. It all began when she was an Australian University student, at a time where there was a serious lack of education agencies or student service providers available. It was extreamly difficult to find course details or information on how to live in and adjust to life in a new country.

Joy decided to start the business with only one staff member, herself. Back in 1994 when she established Stellar, there were limited communication channels available, and had to mainly rely on telephone and fax to assist students regarding their education and visas in Australia, all while trying to facilitate their change in lifestyle in unfamiliar surroundings.

Since then, Stellar continues to grow larger but the one thing that has never changed is her aim to give the best service possible to overseas students. Moreover, she is still maintaining the quality of the company with her capability and accuracy in terms of education and visa information, while also  promoting the Australian Education industry to attract more international students to study in Australia.

Joy holds a Bachelor Degree in Communication Arts from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Graduate Diploma of Tourism Management from University of Technology (Sydney, Australia) and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Cross University (Australia). In addition to this, she has gained a Certificate of International Education Services from PIER as a qualified education counsellor, Certificate of Australian Immigration Law and Practice from University of New South Wales (Australia).
