Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are one of the most popular types of programs in Australia. It is generally known as TAFE (Technical and Further Education), and is funded by the Australian Government. There are also several other vocational providers which are privately owned. The primary purpose of VET courses is to motivate students to adapt and apply their knowledge obtained from the classroom into real life situation in the workforce. VET courses in Australia can be divided into five categories:

The most popular courses among international students are Business, Marketing and Accounting courses. There are also specific courses dedicated to specific occupations, such as Cookery, Hairdressing, Massage Therapy and Beauty Therapy just to name a few.
